What is this?
Clued is a lightweight way to track daily Clues by Sam results with friends, play competitively, and raise the stakes.
Play the daily puzzle, paste your share text into Clued, then review and submit your result.
Clued parses the board, scores the solve, updates leaderboards, and keeps your leagues in sync.
Faster, cleaner solves rise to the top.
Getting Started
How do I join a league?
Leagues are friend groups with their own private leaderboard.
Tap Join to enter an invite code from a friend.
Once you join, your submissions appear on that league leaderboard and you can follow league activity.
Is it free?
Yes. Clued is free to use while I manage growth and learn what it costs to keep everything running.
You can track daily scorecards, join leagues, manage a league, and follow the leaderboard with friends.
Do I need an account or password?
No. Clued does not use a traditional account and password login.
Your profile is linked to your device. Your Player Code lets you connect another device or recover your scores later.
You can see and update your Player Code while submitting a board, and you can also find it in Settings.
What if I do not always play on the same device?
Use your Player Code to connect the new device to your existing player profile.
Fastest option: open Settings on your current device and scan the QR code using your new device.
If you cannot scan, open Join on the new device and enter the Player Code manually.
Once linked, both devices use the same player profile, so your leagues, stats, and notifications stay in sync.
Can I create my own league?
Yes. Go to Leagues, create a league, then invite friends with the league link or invite code.
Each player can manage 1 league for now.
How do I invite friends?
Tap Invite on the leaderboard or league page to copy your league link and send it to friends.
Once they join, everyone appears on the same leaderboard and can get notifications for new submissions.
Scoring
What does my score mean?
Your score reflects solve quality and speed. Higher is better.
The emoji next to your score is your performance tier:
π The puzzle won. You survived
π΅ Brain dead
π€ Painful
π Slowpoke
π Adequate
π Solid
π€© Crushed it
π± Unreal
What do the other symbols mean?
β Perfect board
π¨ Mistakes made
π‘ Hints used

Hey! Why didn't this count as my new fastest time?
Fastest-time records only count perfect boards. If the run had a mistake or any hints, it will not register as a fastest time.
Options
Do my scores have to be on the global leaderboard?
No. Turn on Private in Settings. Private players are hidden from the global leaderboard.
You will still show up in your leagues with friends.
What other settings can I change?
You can update your nickname, change your Player Code, connect or remove devices, set your profile to private, toggle Spoiler Protection, pick your default leaderboard, and manage notification preferences.
Do you have a mobile app?
Yes. Clued has a native iOS app. An Android app is in development.
What if I only access Clued on the web?
No problem. You can use Clued in mobile and desktop browsers, submit boards, join leagues, and rely on email notifications.
Add your email in Settings, then turn on email notifications for the leagues you care about.

No. I am just a fan of the game. I built this app independently for myself, friends, and family, and added extra features that help us play competitively and track results.
